Hot Like Sauce

This was my Halloween cosutme! My four other friends and I were the five Taco Bell Hot Sauce Packets. (I am the ginger in the Verde)
We wrapped ourselves in saran wrap then cut pieces of duct tape and wrapped it around ourselves.

But Baby It's Cold Outside

I have sensitive skin to begin with. So, when the winter months come blustering in, my skin has to be prepared. Here are some commandments I have made for myself to prevent my face and body from turning in to a giant piece of sandpaper.
1. Do not wear clothing that will irritate my skin.
2. Wash with warm water, not hot. (no matter how cold it is outside!)
3. Use a moisturing face wash followed by a moisturizing lotion every morning.
4. Limit exfoliating face wash use to once a week.
5. Lotion my body after every shower, no matter how tired I am.
6. Use a mask once a week on my face.
7. Use a deep moisturizing cream on troubled spots at night.
8. Use lip balm (my favorite is Burt's Bees)
9. Use lotion and make-up that contains sunscreen.
10. Drink plenty of water to keep my skin and body hydrated.

Tough Love

Relationships are risky business. Since my single-ness is starting to seem never ending, I asked my best guy friends for advice. They told me that my problem is that I fall too easily. My downfall is that I end up becoming too easy to like. Guys want a chase. The same things happens for girls. That one guy who is a complete asshole to us ends up being the guy we can't get out of our mind.

In conclusion, the most recent polls (comimng from my 20 year old college guy friends) say to never be the one who falls more. In a relationship, even if it is just flirting, do not end up liking the other person more. Sad, right?

I think I may just keep being my hopeless romantic,over-smiley self when I talk to boys. 

Pretty Lights

I'm a sophomore at Illinois State University, and living in the dorms can be a bit of a burden on someone's creative outlet. From the bare white walls to the tiny (for my accumulated wardrobe) closet space, I feel as if I'm living in a mental institution. To help cozy the room up, I made this for my wall. I cut the letters out of pretty magazine ads and draped lights around it. The lights continue on to my roommate and I's bunkbeds. It is so relaxing to come home to after class, work, and clubs.

Gotta Be Fresh

My favorite thing for fall is pretty braids with wavy hair. Today, I did a waterfall braid around my head. Its easy, and I love giving my hair a break from heat and damaging tools.

I Appreciate Your Bluntness...

Every time I see a girl with blunt bangs I get a huge urge to run up to them and tell them they look amazing! Cutting your hair like that takes guts. Anyone willing to do a drastic change like that deserves the compliments. I usually go through a hair slump once every two years. I end up in the salon chair watching scissors cut my hair directly infront of my eyes (hence the blunt bang change-up.) After a few months, I let them grow out until I get boring hair again.
Bangs are so versatile because they look fantastic with any updo, can be worn straight and sleek, or can be messy to go with big, volume injected hair.

We So Fly (Feather Pun)

The freshest thing to accessorize with this summer is FEATHERS! Bright feathers, natural looking feathers, feathers with sparkles, they are all easy to pull off and wear. My friend, Riley has a striped pink feather that was put in her hair with a bead. It took one minute to put in, and she washes it, curls it, and combs it just like real hair. Her kind will last 60 days. My feather is for the indesicive. It is black hair with three natural looking feathers attaches in it. I simply clip in the extension on days I want to wear it.
